SWISS Gate AG

Overview Swiss Market

The hemp plant contains over 80 different ingredients, the so-called cannabinoids, as well as about 400 other active substances. The two best known of these cannabinoids are cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).

CBD is a non-psychoactive substance (known in research for its anti-inflammatory and relaxing effects), while THC is a psychoactive substance (known in research for its intoxicating effects).

Since 2016, the Swiss Federal Law on Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances (BetmG) has made it legal to sell products containing CBDs with a THC content of less than one percent. Accordingly, the market is still very young.

SWISS Gate AG considers all Swiss residents aged 18 and over as potential customers and aims to appeal to all age groups. At the same time, the company aims to raise awareness among the Swiss population. SWISS Gate AG aims to increase professionalism within the industry and to act as a pioneer in many respects. To this end, it is committed to developing a clear legal framework and breaking new ground. SWISS Gate AG strives to open doors to markets that have not yet been (fully) developed and to promote the Swiss economy.
